Marcus manages communications for EE, marrying creative skills with a background in advocacy for education systems change.

As an AmeriCorps member in a preschool setting, Marcus helped children to develop social-emotional skills and prepare for kindergarten. There he grew passionate about the need for personalized learning to achieve equitable outcomes for young people. He then spent five years running communications and digital engagement at a national nonprofit supporting students and educators in service-learning.

Marcus holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Certificate in Marketing Strategy from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He serves on the scholarship board for Students United, a nonprofit organization operated by students attending Minnesota’s seven state universities. He lives in Saint Louis Park with his wife and two children.
